  • A new house for 60 people, where workers can spend their rotational leave, was commissioned in the Tsentralny workers’ camp of JSC Shubarkol Komir.

Televised Q&A session with the President

  • About 2,000 workers at JSC Aluminium of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Aluminium Smelter, JSC Eurasian Energy Corporation and the Aksu Ferroalloy Plant took part in a televised Q&A session with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

GOSH project

  • The selection committee held the last meeting in Astana as part of a five-year scholarship programme implemented by the Eurasian Resources Group in cooperation with the London-based Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Assistance for people affected by the flood

  • The Group provided financial assistance to people affected by the flood in the Karaganda Region.

Kazakhstani Heroes of the Soviet Union video album

  • A video album created by the Nur Otan party in cooperation with the Eurasian Resources Group to commemorate Heroes of the Soviet Union from Kazakhstan was presented in Astana.

Batyrlar Zholymen – The Path of Glory project

  • To mark the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, members of the Maidan Zholy search team installed seven monuments to heroes of the Great Patriotic War in the Pskov Region in Russia: one monument for each decade that has passed since the Victory.

The longest cake in Kazakhstan’s history

  • The 30-metre-long confection was presented to children from the SOS Village in Astana to mark the Universal Children's Day.

Housing programme

  • The Group continued to implement the programme to provide housing for employees of its enterprises; the relevant memoranda were signed with the Akimats of the Company’s operating regions.

Anniversary year

  • 30th anniversary of the start of development of the Shubarkol open-pit mine 
  • 65th anniversary of establishment of the Krasnooktyabrsk Bauxite Mining Department
  • 30th anniversary of the start of development of the Vostocnhy open-pit mine

Memorandum with Nazarbayev University

  • A bilateral memorandum of cooperation was concluded with Nazarbayev University.

Meeting with a Master chess project

  • Simultaneous exhibitions were given by famous Kazakhstani chess grandmasters in Khromtau, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Rudny and Astana.

New training centre

  • A modern training centre was opened at JSC Aluminium of Kazakhstan on the eve of the Metal Worker’s Day.

Debt restructuring

  • ERG reached strategic agreements on restructuring of the Group’s debt with VTB Bank and Sberbank of Russia.

New church

  • A new Orthodox church was opened in the village of Kachar in the Kostanay Region; construction of the church had been funded by SSGPO.

Commissioning of a furnace at the Aksu Ferroalloy Plant

  • Furnace No. 27 was commissioned at the Aksu Ferroalloy Plant following major repairs.

Land of Masters

  • Prize winners of a literary competition from among employees of the Group’s enterprises were chosen as part of the project titled The Land of Masters: a Single Family.

Agreements at Ertys Invest 2015

  • As part of the Ertys Invest 2015 forum, the Eurasian Resources Group concluded a number of important agreements to support implementation of the company’s long-term plans.

Records at JSC Shubarkol Komir

  • Workers at JSC Shubarkol Komir set new records for coal output in 2015.

Exceeding the target

  • Power engineers at JSC EEC exceeded the 2015 target for electricity output.

New observatory

  • An observatory was opened in the M.M. Katayev Regional Schoolchildren’s Palace in Pavlodar under a Memorandum signed by the Akimat of the Pavlodar Region and ERG; the ceremony was attended by Aidyn Aimbetov, the first astronaut from the Republic of Kazakhstan.

ALASH TARIKHYNYN AKIKATY competition

  • The ALASH TARIKHYNYN AKIKATY literary competition was held with support from ERG to celebrate the 550th anniversary of the foundation of the Kazakh Khanate.

Environmental cooperation

  • ERG's enterprises in the Pavlodar Region signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Competence Centre for Environmental Technology corporate foundation.

Victory in the Innovation Competition

  • The system for supporting innovators at JSC Aluminium of Kazakhstan and an innovative solution developed by metal engineers at the Aksu Ferroalloy Plant won the National Innovation Competition.

1Mt of ferroalloys

  • On the eve of the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ferroalloy output at the Aksu Ferroalloy Plant passed the 1Mt milestone.

Commissioning of a power unit

  • On the eve of the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, power unit No. 4 was commissioned at the power plant of JSC EEC following major repairs.

Support for Kazakhstani manufacturers

  • ERG signed memoranda of cooperation with Kazakhstani manufacturers of goods.

Altyn Kor – 2015

  • SSGPO hosted the Altyn Kor professional competition among employees of all Kazakhstani enterprises of ERG; this is the first competition of this kind in the history of the Eurasian Resources Group.
