Serik Shakhazhanov
General Director
He graduated from the Pavlodar State University named after S. Toraigyrov with a Diploma in Social Sphere and Industry Management, the Karaganda State Technical University with a Diploma in Metallurgy, also he obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) at the Lomonosov Moscow State University, then a Doctor’s degree in Business Administration (DBA) at the State University of the Higher School of Economics (Moscow).
1998 to 1999, he worked as an expert of the marketing and financial analyses department at NC Naizatas CJSC. 2000 to 2001, as a manager of the pension fund in the Pavlodar branch of PSF Umit CJSC.
Serik Shakhazhanov began his career in the Eurasian Group in 2001 as an Economist of the Financial Department of the Aksu Ferroalloys Plant. Then he headed the Financial Department of the Aktobe Ferroalloys Plant, and later - the Treasury Department of TNC Kazchrome JSC.
From January 2009 through April 2014 he worked as a Vice President for Finance and Economic Affairs of TNC Kazchrome JSC. He was in charge of financial and economic activities of the Company, kept control of tax and accounting services of the Company, participated in ERP development and introduction.
In May 2014 he joined Eurasian Group LLP where he became the Managing Director for Analysis and Strategic Development. Since 2014 he held position of a Deputy Chairman of the Board for Strategy and Development of the Company. Serik Shakhazhanov supervised cost-effective and optimal long-term strategic development plans at enterprises of the Group, analysis and approval of capital expenses by operational assets in Kazakhstan , procurement methodology, creating and analysis of annual procurement programmes.
Konstantin Karabadzhak
Deputy General Director for Strategy and Transformation
Konstantin Karabadzhak holds a degree in Economics and has completed professional retraining in «Oil and Gas Production». He holds an MBA degree from one of the world's leading business schools - Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University (USA), and has completed a top management training course at Harvard University (USA).
Prior to joining Eurasian Group at the end of 2022, Konstantin held senior positions in joint ventures of «Gazprom Neft» PJSC for 12 years. In particular, Konstantin headed JV of «Gazprom Neft» with Anglo-Dutch Shell, and JV with «Mubadala Energy» from UAE; before that he worked as a CFO in other JVs of «Gazprom Neft» PJSC with Russian and European partners. Previously, Konstantin worked as a project manager and consultant for McKinsey & Company, a leading international strategic consulting firm.
Konstantin Karabadzhak has extensive experience in successful transformations and business development. His main focus has been the implementation of best practices in the area of business growth, process efficiency, digitalization, and personnel development.
Konstantin's areas of expertise include strategic planning, business development, and transformation management.
Ruslan Mulyukbayev
Deputy General Director for Purchasing and Logistics
Ruslan Mulyukbaev has more than 15 years of experience in the field of procurement, he was engaged in implementation of new IT-solutions and development of methodology for the Group's procurement activities.
He graduated from the Law Faculty of the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and Pavlodar State University named after Toraigyrov with a degree in "Finance and Сredit". Within the Eurasian Group, he worked his way up from Legal Advisor at Aluminium of Kazakhstan JSC to General Director of ERG Commercial Center LLP.
Throughout his career, he has held the positions of Head of Raw Materials and Equipment Supply Department, Director of Centralized Procurement Department, Managing Director for Procurement Methodology and Controlling, General Director of ERG Capital Projects and First Deputy General Director of Eurasian Group LLP.
Ruslan Milyukbayev has been in charge of the Group's commercial procurement activities since 2021.
Jochen Berbner
Deputy General Director, Technology and operations
Jochen Berbner graduated from the Industrial Engineering Department of the Technical University of Karlsruhe and the University of California, Berkeley, USA. He earned an MBA from the INSEAD business school in Fontainebleau, France.
He worked for McKinsey in its offices in Europe, Russia and Kazakhstan for many years. For the last six years, he headed the Kazakhstan office and advised companies in the metallurgical and mining sectors, including ERG. He supervised projects in mining and processing aimed at increasing productivity and operational efficiency, improving production and maintenance processes as well as organizational and cultural changes.
Jochen Berbner has extensive experience in complex, multi-year transformation programs involving debottlenecking, process improvement, capital project analysis and performance management.
Ardak Nurazkhanov
Deputy General Director, Projects and Development
Ardak Nurazkhanov graduated from the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University Department of Economics and Management at Enterprises with a specialization as an «engineer-economist-manager», and he holds a Master's degree from George Washington University in the USA under the «Bolashak» program.
Prior to joining Eurasian Resources Group, Ardak was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he worked for the last seven years in management consulting. Before 2014, he worked for thirteen years in the mining and metallurgical industry (project management in «Kazzinc» JSC) and in the oil and gas industry (maritime support for construction and operation of offshore fields in the North Caspian Sea at «Caspian Offshore Construction» LLP), progressing from Project Manager to General Director of the company.
He joined Eurasian Resources Group in October 2021 as General Director of «ERG Capital Projects» LLP to implement large capital projects and develop the functional center for capital construction.
In January 2023, Mr. Nurazkhanov was appointed Deputy General Director for Projects and Development at Eurasian Resources Group with additional supervision over «ERG Exploration» LLP and new development projects.
Gaziz Ibraev
Deputy General Director, Corporate
Gaziz Ibraev graduated from the Kazakh State Law Academy with a degree in Jurisprudence, has a Master's degree in Law from Oxford Brookes University with a degree in International Law.
From 2002 to 2003, he worked as a legal consultant for Ernst & Young LLP.
From 2003 to 2005 he was a lawyer at Salance LLP.
From 2005 to 2014 - Advisor, Senior Legal Advisor at North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC).
From 2014 to 2016, he headed the legal department of Kar-Tel LLP. (trademark "Beeline").
From 2016 to 2017 - head of the office of Lansky, Ganzer and Partner Kazakhstan LLP.
He joined the Eurasian Group in August 2017 as Director of the International Law and M&A Department.
Akmaral Naizabekova
Deputy General Director, Personnel and Culture
Akmaral graduated from Karaganda State University with a degree in “Jurisprudence” and from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration with an MBA degree. She holds a Master’s degree in International Human Resource Management from Kingston University (UK). Also she has an international professional certification in Human Resources Management (CIPD), ICF International Professional Coach Certificate, Prosci Change Management Certification (CCMP).
Akmaral has been working in the corporate governance and HR for more than 17 years, and her managerial experience in Samruk-Kazyna JSC group of companies and consulting organizations exceeds 12 years.
She joined the Eurasian Group in February 2021 as the Chief Operating Officer for Human Resources and Social Affairs in Kazakhstan region.
Daniyar Rakhmatullayev
Deputy General Director, Finance
He graduated from Novosibirsk State University with a degree in Mathematics. He is a scholar of the Bolashak Programme and obtained a Master’s degree in Economics from Temple University. He has the international certification of Certified Accounting Practitioner (CAP).
He worked his way up to the Director of the Department for Economics and Finance from the position of a manager in Kaz-Trans-Gas-Almaty JSC.
He joined the Eurasian Group since 2014 as the Head of the Department for Budgeting and Economic Analyses. During the last 3 years he was the Director of the Department for Financial Planning and Analyses of ERG Group.
